Texas Star Investigations Continuing Education School serves the Waco, Texas and Central Texas area. Private Investigation Agencies with 4 or more private investigators in the Central Texas area may contact Texas Star Investigations Continuing Education School for CE courses and set up classes to be held at your location, but must be scheduled 3 weeks in advance.
Texas Star Investigations Continuing Education School is an approved and licensed school by the Private Security Bureau to provide continuing education courses that meet the requirements of the State of Texas.
Texas Private Investigators are required by Private Security Bureau rules to complete the required continuing education as follows:
Private investigators and managers of Class A and Class C licenses with more than fifteen (15) years of continued registration as a private investigator or manager of a Class A or Class C license shall complete a total of twelve (12) hours of continuing education, eight (8) hours of which must be in subject matter that relates to the type of registration held, two (2) hours of which must be over ethics, and two (2) hours of which must involve the review of Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 1702, and the Board's Administrative Rules, Tex. Admin. Code, 37 TAC 35.
Private Investigators and managers of Class A and Class C licenses with less than fifteen (15) years of continued registration as a private investigator or manager of a Class A or Class C license shall complete a total of eighteen (18) hours of continuing education, fourteen (14) of which must be in subject matter that relates to the type of registration held, two (2) hours of which must be over ethics, and two (2) hours of which must involve the review of Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 1702 and the Board's Administrative Rules, Tex. Admin. Code, 37 TAC 35.
